I saw this mare while looking through ~x-spirantcougar-x's gallery and I just can't stop looking at her Her coloration is just so amazing and I love how she looks! Gah! Darn her and her prettyness Also, I've been dying to get a Fjord or smaller "pony" type horse as one of my characters.

Those paint markings were both tough and fun to make
AANNDD I really like how her whole anatomy came out at first I figured it'd be tough drawing a smaller built horse, but it's actually a lot easier than I ever could have imagined! Plus that I feel like the small horses, or ponies if you will, have a better leg structure to draw with than taller horses >w<

History: Born in Knockdarnan, England. Raised as a childrens' showjumper to compete. Anouk spent the first four years of her life in England until she was shipped to Greenland. She spent only one year there until she was to be shipped to southern Alaska to be trained for novice dressage when the ship collided with a cargo ship just off the coast of Oregon and sank. Anouk broke free of her stall as the ship went down and she swam to the shore. She stayed there until she was able to move again and headed north to northern Washington where she met up with Vista, a mare from the Oakwood herd. Vista took Anouk to the herd lands just across the border into Canada.
Personality: Extremely friendly and quick to smile. Despite her traumatic past, Anouk tries to be cheerful and brighten everyone up when the herd is going through tough times. She loves to take care of and watch after the foals and yearlings even though they're almost as tall as she is sometimes. She also has a very strong maternal instinct and will defend the foals with her life if need be. Can also be a wise-arse
